Our gritted foam pigs have Silicon Carbide bonded to the outside diameter in a fluted pattern. We offer a coarse grit version and a polish. The coarse foam scraper pig is used to remove hard deposits on the first pass. Then the polish version is used to remove fine deposits, once the coarse pig has passed.

Usually, you would run one of the orange elastomer wiper darts after this and finish with a plain foam pig pushed with a nitrogen line to leave the coil clean, dry, and ready for use. We also supply foam darts (green) which are often used at the end of the cleaning process in place of a plain foam pig, depending on the service company’s preference.
